Nurture & Nourish
Kula Muriwai has been one of those places i’ve followed on the gram for sometime, eager to one day host there. With its ocean views, stunning interior and a fully kitted out yoga shala, it is the dreamiest location for a weekend retreat get away.
Co-hosting a retreat with my dear friend Kelley Oliver (MNDFL SPACE), which we meticulously planned over three years, was an incredibly rewarding experience. The process allowed us to combine our unique perspectives and strengths, creating a space that felt both intentional and inviting. We truely are a yin & yang pairing, the perfect collaboration. Kel’s life coach skills are honed from 20 years owning and running an extremely successful salon business, I was her apprentice for 5 years during the start of my hairdressing career, a career that with her expert guidance took me to New York fashion week and winning awards as Wellington apprentice of the year & NZ protege. I offered my signature, energetic vinyasa style classes each morning and I believe my skill is an ability to create a space where people are seen. Many of the attendees had already been away with me already this year, so returning is surely a great sign.
Over the weekend we enjoyed saunas and spas together, we walked the wild Muriwai coast and we chatted by the gorgeous fire places. One of my favourite things about Kula is the fact they have so many different spaces to hang out, you can have as social or as quiet time as you like.
Our next dates for Nurture & Nourish at Kula are Friday 24th to Sunday 26th April 2026.
